Last night was the opening ceremonies for the 2006 Torino Olympics! It was fun to watch! There is always this amazing excitement that comes with the Olympics. Why are the Olympics so exciting and fun?
THe Olympics are so cool, because even though amid the many conflict of the world, countries around the world come together in one place. Why? To have fun and enjoy themselves. The whole world is united during the Olympics. Everyone is tuning is waiting and most are even watching to hear the news of how well their country is doing. Even if there is only one person from a country, it is so powerful because they have the courage to compete.
Everyone is routing for everyone. People come together to compete in the things they love. Even though only one will win the gold in an event, everyone is out there to support the other teams. One can win but everyone who competes wins because they have had the opportunity of a lifetime.
There are so many powerful stories. Like winning a medal even though an athlete has gotten hurt. These people are ours heroes because they are so strong.
Though the power of passion and strength the whole world comes together under one roof because of one reason. The Olympics. The Olympic games send a powerful message, that there can be peace on earth.

Woah! We almost picked the same topic to write about!...Almost. Anyways you're right the olympics are awesome. Did you see the part where they showed the "red tomatoe" guy watching the opening ceremonies with his jaw dropped? It made me laugh.
You're awesome, and totally right. It's really wonderful how the Olympics have lasted for so long and through so much. I love that countries are represented by individuals who have trained long and hard, and then just do the best that they can do. Keep it up!
